  6. The following changes were made in WinZip 4.0b:

  8. - Fixed one bug that only occurred on 80286 machines.

  10. The following changes were made in WinZip 4.0a:

  12. - Built-in ZIP extraction is much faster.  An 80386 based system or better is
  13.   now required for built-in ZIP extraction.

  15. - Added support for Central Point's CPAV virus scanner.
  16.  
  17. - Fixed a couple bugs, including one that prevented using ARC files in some
  18.   configurations, and a problem extracting from ZIPs that span multiple
  19.   floppies.

  21. New features in WinZip 4.0 include:

  23. - Added support for PKZIP 2.0, including built-in ZIP extraction.

  25. - Added support for the ARJ file format.

  27. - Added a new toolbar with descriptive pictorial buttons.

  29. - Added a 3-D look to all dialog boxes.

  31. - Added a new Directories dialog box with options for the Start-up directory,
  32.   default Extract directory, and default Add directory.

  34. - Added an optional beep after archive operations complete.

  36. - Added support for the Norton Anti-Virus program (NAV.EXE).

  38. - Added the last few archives opened to the File pull-down menu for easy
  39.   access.
